PyCharm drops seven plugins; Microsoft Sentinel retires its SAP agent
Two additions tonight, both aimed at developers and their tooling. PyCharm 2026.2 unbundles and stops maintaining seven low-usage plugins — Data Wrangler, Hugging Face, Google Colab, Spark/PySpark, AI Playground, AI Agents Debugger, and Databricks — with compatible builds disappearing from PyCharm 2026.3. And Microsoft Sentinel retires the containerized SAP data connector agent on 14 September 2026, forcing a migration to the agentless SAP connector before SAP logs stop flowing.
A quiet monitored night that still turned up two real removals — one from JetBrains’ own blog, one from Microsoft’s Azure retirement feed. Every entry with a sunset date inside 30 days was re-checked against its primary source first: eleven entries, all unchanged.
PyCharm deprecates and unbundles low-usage plugins. Starting with PyCharm 2026.2, JetBrains removes seven bundled plugins from the IDE and stops maintaining them: Data Wrangler, Hugging Face, Google Colab, Spark (including PySpark support), AI Playground, AI Agents Debugger, and Databricks. Deprecation is not deletion — a compatible version stays installable from the JetBrains Marketplace and the source moves to a public Obsolete Plugins repository — but from PyCharm 2026.3 JetBrains stops publishing compatible builds, so keeping one alive falls to you or the community. There’s no calendar date; the timeline is tied to releases, so the entry carries no countdown. If your data or ML workflow leans on any of the seven, reinstall it from the Marketplace while you’re on 2026.2 and pin it before upgrading.
Microsoft Sentinel retires the containerized SAP data connector agent. On 14 September 2026 Microsoft permanently disables the containerized data connector agent for the Microsoft Sentinel solution for SAP applications; after that it stops sending SAP logs to Sentinel. The replacement — the SAP agentless data connector — is already generally available, and creation of new containerized agents is already switched off. If you still collect SAP telemetry through the agent, the analytics rules, workbooks, hunting queries, and playbooks built on that data go dark for those systems until you move. Microsoft’s migration is a side-by-side cutover with no coverage gap: deploy the agentless connector, validate ingestion, then decommission the agent. No change to pricing. Teams already on the agentless connector are unaffected.
