Microsoft Microsoft retires Azure App Service on Azure Stack Hub on 30 September 2029; new installations and all new releases, features and enhancements stopped on 30 September 2026, with existing deployments supported until retirement

Microsoft Microsoft will retire the Azure DCsv3 and DCdsv3-series confidential-computing virtual machines (Linux, Windows, and Dedicated Host) on 31 October 2029; after that date they can no longer be used or purchased, and workloads must move to the v6 confidential VM series or Confidential Container Instances.

Microsoft Microsoft is retiring the Azure Dv3, Dsv3, Ev3, and Esv3 virtual machine series across public-cloud Azure regions; these VMs enter the End-of-Life stage and retire on 15 November 2029, after which they are unsupported and un-migrated VMs may be deallocated and deleted. Recommended target is the Dsv5 / Esv5 generation.

Microsoft Microsoft retired the Azure NVv3-series GPU virtual machines (Standard_NV12s_v3, NV12hs_v3, NV24s_v3, NV24ms_v3, NV32ms_v3, NV48s_v3) on 30 September 2026; any remaining NVv3 VMs are set to a deallocated state, stop working, lose SLA and support. Azure UAE North customers have an extension to 31 January 2027.

Microsoft Microsoft retired the Azure NVv4-series GPU virtual machines (Standard_NV4as_v4, NV4ahs_v4, NV8as_v4, NV8ahs_v4, NV16as_v4, NV16ahs_v4, NV32as_v4, NV32ahs_v4) on 30 September 2026; any remaining NVv4 VMs are set to a deallocated state, stop working, and lose SLA and support.

Microsoft Microsoft Publisher is being discontinued. Microsoft 365 subscribers will not be able to access Publisher after 1 October 2026, and it will no longer be included in Microsoft 365 or available to install or download. The perpetual (one-time-purchase) version reaches end of support on 13 October 2026 with Office LTSC 2021 and consumer Office 2021. Microsoft's recommendation is to convert existing Publisher (.pub) files to PDF or Word before the cutoff.

API ↙gone

Microsoft Microsoft is disabling Exchange Web Services (EWS) in Exchange Online in a phased rollout: from 10 October 2026 every worldwide tenant with EWS enabled must maintain an AppID allow list (EWSAllowedAppIDs) or its EWS apps are blocked, and EWS is fully disabled in April 2027. Developers must migrate to Microsoft Graph.
