Cloudflare retires the legacy Workers KV API routes
A quiet night, one date reached: Cloudflare's old /workers/namespaces/ REST routes for managing Workers KV are no longer supported as of today, 15 October. It is a path rename, not a feature removal — automation that hardcodes the old URL breaks; the dashboard and Wrangler are unaffected. Nothing new entered the board. A busy stretch starts next week, led by OpenSSL 3.4 and the Minimus shutdown on 22 October.
A genuinely quiet night: no new sunsets entered the board, and one existing date arrived.
Reached today: Cloudflare’s legacy Workers KV API routes
As of 15 October 2026, Cloudflare no longer supports the legacy /accounts/{account_id}/workers/namespaces/* REST routes used to manage Workers KV namespaces. Per Cloudflare’s API deprecations page, calls to those paths stop working from today; the entry’s status is now passed, re-verified against that page.
This is a path rename, not a feature removal. Workers KV is not going away, and nothing changes for dashboard or wrangler users. The break is for automation that calls the old URL directly — CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and scripts that create, list, or delete KV namespaces. Cloudflare says the legacy and replacement routes are interchangeable (same parameters, same payloads), so the fix is a single base-path swap to /accounts/{account_id}/storage/kv/namespaces/. The work is finding every place the old prefix is hardcoded: generated API clients, older SDK pins, and copied-in wrapper code. If you run Cloudflare-managed DNS, the related date to flag from the same page is the Foundation DNS field removal on 23 November 2026.
The next few weeks on the board
Dates ahead, each verified against its primary source: OpenSSL 3.4 end of life and the Minimus shutdown (both 22 Oct), OpenAI’s GPT-4 / GPT-3.5 / o1 / o3 model removals (23 Oct), Kubernetes 1.34 end of life (27 Oct), Fitbit’s legacy Web API shutdown (30 Oct), Consul 1.22 end of life and OpenAI’s hosted Evals platform going read-only (both 31 Oct), then Alpine 3.21 end of life (1 Nov) and the GitHub Actions macOS 14 runner retirement, Mullvad’s encrypted-DNS shutdown, and HCP Vagrant’s end of support (all 2 Nov). Full board with live countdowns on the calendar.
