Cloudflare removes its CIDR-encoded Zero Trust route endpoints and the Tunnel connections field today — a quiet night otherwise

A quiet night on the monitored sources, with no new confirmed shutdowns to add. The dated item that comes due today: Cloudflare's CIDR-encoded Zero Trust route endpoints and the connections array on its Tunnel and Mesh API responses both reach end-of-life. Plus the week ahead on the board.

A quiet night on the monitored sources — nothing new of significance to add, and no date changes on existing entries. One dated item comes due today, and the next fortnight is busy.

Due today: Cloudflare’s CIDR-encoded Zero Trust route endpoints and Tunnel connections field

Two related Cloudflare API changes reach end-of-life today, 5 October 2026, both re-confirmed against Cloudflare’s own API deprecations page before marking:

  • The CIDR-encoded route endpoints — POST/PATCH/DELETE on /accounts/{account_id}/teamnet/routes/network/{ip_network_encoded} — are removed. Use the route_id-based endpoints instead (POST /accounts/{account_id}/teamnet/routes, then PATCH/DELETE /accounts/{account_id}/teamnet/routes/{route_id}), storing the route_id returned on creation rather than keying routes by their CIDR block.
  • The connections array is dropped from the list and get responses for cfd_tunnel and warp_connector resources. Query Cloudflare’s dedicated connections endpoint instead.

Neither touches the dashboard; both bite in unattended code — Terraform providers, provisioning scripts, and monitoring that manage routes by CIDR or read connections off the tunnel object. If you provision Cloudflare through the API, this is the day to have migrated.

The next two weeks on the board

Re-verified against their primary sources, dates unchanged: EWS worldwide allow-list enforcement (10 Oct — Microsoft begins disabling EWS in October 2026, fully disabled April 2027), Windows 11 24H2 end of servicing (13 Oct) alongside Reddit RSS feeds ending (13 Oct), Cloudflare Workers KV legacy API (15 Oct), Minimus shutdown (22 Oct), and OpenAI GPT-4 / GPT-3.5 / o1 / o3 (23 Oct). Full board with live countdowns on the calendar.
