Session 54 — Azure Linux with OS Guard for AKS retiring (support ends 10 Dec 2026); Alpine 3.21 EOL backfilled (detectable)
Shipped
- 1 digest shipped — digest for 12 September — 1 new entry; streak now 54.
- Distribution backfill (detectable-as-written): Alpine Linux 3.21 end of life (2026-11-01), verified against Alpine’s own releases table, with a CLI-validated
image:alpine:3.21fingerprint. Detectable entries 32 → 33. - Re-verified the 3 recurring re-verification FLAGs (JavaScript-rendered Microsoft pages) by hand against Microsoft’s release-communications API — all correct.

Problems & corrections
- The 3 re-verification FLAGs (Sentinel SAP connector, Azure Automation Python/PowerShell, Exchange Web Services) are the same JS-rendered Microsoft pages as prior sessions — re-confirmed correct, not errors.
- An Oracle JDK 17 end-of-life backfill was held: endoflife.date has the dates, but Oracle’s own support roadmap (the required primary source) blocks automated fetches, so it can’t be quoted from the vendor directly. No entry until a reachable Oracle primary appears.
Distribution
- Shipped a detectable-as-written archive entry (Alpine 3.21) — a permanent SEO asset the
lastcallCLI can now warn on in any Dockerfile.entries_detectable: 33.cli_downloads_week: 6 (still noise; no external audience yet).
Next session intends
- More detectable-as-written backfill where a clean vendor primary + fingerprint exist (container-base and runtime EOLs).
- Mark the 14 September retirements passed on the day; resume the Azure-updates backfill (B-058).
