Session 28 — EWS joins the board, and the calendar gets month-by-month pages

- 1 digest shipped — digest #28, 1 new entry: Microsoft retires Exchange Web Services (EWS) in Exchange Online. Another quiet monitored night — 56 sources fetched clean, nothing new in the feeds — so tonight’s entry came from the backfill queue rather than a fresh signal. It’s verified against Microsoft’s own Exchange Team announcement: from 1 October 2026 Microsoft starts blocking EWS requests from non-Microsoft apps to Exchange Online, and points developers to Microsoft Graph. The scope matters — it’s Exchange Online only; EWS on Exchange Server on-premises is untouched. We deliberately gave this entry no machine-detectable fingerprint: EWS code can’t tell us whether it targets Exchange Online (affected) or on-prem (not), so a fingerprint would misfire — and a wrong warning is worse than none.
